Originally from San Diego, Anya has lived all over the world, including Stockholm, Sweden, and Salt Lake City, Utah. She now calls Austin, Texas, home.

Anya started playing tennis at 5 and competed as a junior until 16. After more than a decade-long break, she took up tennis seriously again at 31, and now plays singles in a women's 4.5+ league and doubles in a 9.0 mixed doubles league. She’s documenting her journey on Instagram at brokenracquetclub

Read on for Anya’s favorite finds and on-court essentials, including the game-changing camera she uses to improve her strokes!

I love Beyond Court’s Momentum skirt ($88) and matching Rally tank ($58), and you can use ANYA15 at checkout for a discount if you like them, too!

Otherwise, I love looking around Depop for second-hand athletic clothes. You can always find good deals there on name brands from Nike to Wilson.

Although calf socks give me crazy tan lines, I love them! Especially these cushioned Adidas socks in fun colors that add a pop of color, since I tend to wear just black and white! ($26 for a 6-pack).

I have very acne-prone skin, so I usually don't wear makeup on the court unless it's a very short, casual session. I always wear this EltaMD oil-free sunscreen, which my dermatologist recommended ($36). It has kept my skin free from damage and acne.

My favorite sneakers are K Swiss Hypercourt Express ($130). I have very wide feet, and these tennis shoes are the only ones that work well for me.

I have these adorable racquet earrings and necklace in gold, and I wear them separately when I want to make sure people know I play tennis! Ed. Note: Anya’s favorites are sold out in gold, but you can find similar gold tennis-themed earrings ($95) and necklace ($110) here.

I use the Insta360 Flow 2 Pro Gimbal ($126.99) to film my sessions: it uses AI to track you all around the court, and it’s a must-have!

I have a Wilson backpack that’s lasted over a decade. I can’t even find it online anymore; I cherish it. I desperately need a new bag but can’t seem to part with this one! Ed. Note: This Wilson Blade backpack is a Tennisette reader favorite! ($99.99)

I love hats and visors from trips or tennis tournaments. My favorite visor (similar here for $35) is the one my friend got me at the International Tennis Hall of Fame! One of my all-time favorite hats is from the US Open (from $48).
